About Wahat Al Karama
In line with the late Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, recognition of the UAE's heroes' sacrifices in the service of their country, and his directives to commemorate them, and the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Wahat Al Karama, was officially inaugurated on 30th Nov 2016, to become a timeless tribute to commemorate and honor the UAE's heroes.

Visitor Center
The first stop in Wahat Al Karama, the Visitor Center, offers a unique, interactive experience providing an opportunity to learn more about the nation's heroes, the memorial, as well as the UAE's diplomatic and humanitarian efforts.

The Memorial Plaza
The Memorial Plaza
The Memorial Plaza is the second station in Wahat Al Karama and occupies the largest space in it (4000 square meters). It is surrounded by amphitheater- style seating with the capacity to hold up to 1,200 people.

The Memorial
The Memorial is the centerpiece of Wahat Al Karama, and its third external station. It was designed by British artist Idris Khan. The symbolism behind it is clear - its 31 aluminum-clad panels lean against each other.

The Pavilion of Honor
The Pavilion of Honor
The journey ends at The Pavilion of Honor, the last station in Wahat Al Karama. On the right, Surat Al Fatiha is engraved, whereas the ceiling is covered in eight panels, seven of which represent the seven emirates.

Working Hours at Wahat Al Karama
Wahat Al Karama receives visitors daily and offers individual and group tours of the external and internal sections of Wahat Al Karama with our experienced guides. Governmental, educational and other entities may contact Wahat Al Karama office to book tours in advance. All tours start at the Visitor Center and are available in both Arabic and English.
Salute the Flag
Visitors can watch the ceremony of saluting the flag, go on a walking tour at Wahat Al Karama and enjoy the beauty of the Monument and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque's picturesque reflection on the pool located at the center of the external yard onsite.

Wahat Al Karama Ceremony
We invite you, during the weekend, to attend Wahat Al Karama Ceremony which includes a special show of Salute at Flag, Musical Band and Horse Riding. Furthermore, visitors can take photos with the horses at the end of the show.
